Affiliate Disclosure

Current status, 8 September 2026: luxeaura earns no commission on any link on this site, and carries no advertising. The disclosure below sets out how commercial links will be handled if that changes.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link that identifies the referring site to a retailer. If a purchase follows, the retailer pays the referring site a percentage. The buyer pays the same price either way.

Affiliate arrangements are legal and ordinary. They are also a conflict of interest, which is why the U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires them to be disclosed clearly and close to the link rather than buried on a page like this one.

How links work on this site

Where disclosure appears

Every article containing a commercial link carries a disclosure box above the article text, before any recommendation is made. That box states plainly whether commission is earned on the links below it. It is placed there rather than at the foot of the page so that it is read before a decision, not after one.

Links are marked

Commercial links carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, which tells search engines the link is commercial. Non-commercial links to a manufacturer’s site carry rel="nofollow" instead. Links to primary sources — the FDA, journals, government databases — carry neither, because they are citations.

What commission does not affect

Three things, stated as commitments rather than aspirations:

  • Which products are covered. Products are selected by search demand and by whether there is something checkable about their claims, not by whether an affiliate programme exists. Several devices covered here have no affiliate programme at all.
  • What is concluded about them. A device that fails a check is reported as failing it. Where a product with a commission attached scores worse than one without, that is what the article says.
  • The order of work. The assessment is completed against public records before any commercial link is added. Findings are not revisited because a programme was approved.

What this site cannot promise

Being straightforward about the limits is part of the disclosure.

  • Prices change constantly. Figures quoted are as displayed on the date stated and are frequently discounted. Always check the retailer.
  • Specifications are manufacturer claims. Unless an independent measurement is cited by name, published figures are the manufacturer’s own and have not been verified with instruments here.
  • No device is tested on skin. This site assesses claims, not cosmetic results.
  • Programmes shape availability. Where two devices are comparable and only one has an affiliate programme, that asymmetry exists. It is disclosed in the article rather than hidden by omitting the other product.

Advertising

luxeaura carries no display advertising and no sponsored posts. No manufacturer has paid for coverage, been given approval over an article before publication, or been shown a draft. If any of that changes it will be stated on the page in question.

Not medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice, and no medical or dermatological credential is claimed. For anything concerning your own skin, a diagnosed condition, or a medication that may cause photosensitivity, consult a clinician.

Questions

If the commercial arrangements behind any specific article are unclear, ask through the contact page and they will be set out. If something on this page is inaccurate, the same applies.
