Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If an article here states something that is wrong, out of date, or rests on a page that has since changed, say so and it will be fixed.
What gets a reply
- Corrections. A wrong figure, a dead link, a clearance number that no longer resolves, a product page that has changed since it was captured. Include the article and, if you have it, the source.
- Device suggestions. A mask whose claims look worth checking. Brands with a specific, checkable claim are more useful than brands with vague ones.
- Questions about method. How a search was run, why a conclusion was drawn, what a figure means.
- Data requests. Access to or deletion of anything held about you under the privacy policy.
What does not
- Medical questions. No medical or dermatological credential is claimed here and none is implied. Questions about your own skin, a diagnosed condition, or a medication that may cause photosensitivity belong with a clinician.
- Guest posts, link exchanges and paid placements. None are accepted, and these will not receive a reply.
- Requests to alter a finding. Manufacturers are welcome to supply evidence — a K-number, a measured irradiance figure with its distance, a corrected specification — and articles are updated when the record changes. Requests to soften a conclusion without new evidence are not.
Please do not include medical details, health information or anything else sensitive in this form. What you send is stored as described in the privacy policy and is not shared, sold or added to any mailing list.
