Privacy Policy

luxeaura collects as little as a website can while still functioning. There is no advertising network, no tracking pixel, no email list and no user accounts. This page sets out what is collected, why, and what to do about it.

Who runs this site

luxeaura is an independently published website at buyluxeaura.com. Enquiries, including requests about personal data, go through the contact page.

What is collected

Comments

If you leave a comment, the form collects the name, email address and any website address you enter, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string. This is standard WordPress behaviour and is used to display the comment and to filter spam.

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically rather than held in a queue.

An anonymised string created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a public avatar. Gravatar’s own privacy policy governs that service. After a comment is approved, any public avatar is visible alongside it.

Server logs

The web host records standard access logs: IP address, page requested, timestamp, referring page and user-agent. These are generated by the server rather than by this site, are used for security and diagnostics, and are retained according to the host’s own retention schedule.

Cookies

If you leave a comment and tick the box to save your details, cookies store your name, email and website so the form is pre-filled next time. They expire after one year and can be declined by leaving the box unticked.

The site uses a caching layer, which may set a technical cookie to serve the correct version of a page. It carries no personal data and is not used for tracking.

There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking on this site.

Embedded content

Articles link out to external sites — the FDA, medical journals, manufacturers. Following a link means that site’s privacy policy applies, not this one. Articles do not embed third-party video, social widgets or comment systems.

Analytics

This site does not currently run a third-party analytics service. Aggregate performance data about search results is available through Google Search Console, which reports on how pages appear in search rather than on individuals visiting the site.

If an analytics service is added, this section will be updated to name it before it goes live.

Affiliate links

This site currently earns no commission on any link. If affiliate links are added, following one may allow the retailer to set a cookie identifying the referral. That cookie is set by the retailer, on the retailer’s domain, and is governed by the retailer’s privacy policy. This site receives only aggregate reporting — typically clicks and any resulting orders — and does not receive the identity of the person who clicked.

Full terms are on the affiliate disclosure page.

What is not done

  • Personal data is not sold, rented or traded.
  • No mailing list is operated and no marketing email is sent.
  • No profile of visitors is built, and no data is shared with advertising networks.
  • No sensitive personal data — health, biometric or financial — is requested. Please do not submit medical details through the comment form or the contact form.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it erased. Requests can be made through the contact page.

In practice, the only personal data this site is likely to hold is a comment you left. Erasure requests are honoured, except where data must be retained for security or legal reasons.

Visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to complain to a national supervisory authority. Residents of California have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what is collected and to request deletion. This site does not sell personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has submitted data through the comment form, get in touch and it will be removed.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Reasonable measures are taken to protect data in transit and at rest, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Changes

This policy will be updated if the site’s practices change — in particular if analytics or affiliate links are added. The date below reflects the most recent revision.
